My Mum taught me all the gentle arts, but I’ve had to relearn as it has been such a long time since I’ve done it. It’s really easy. Now I just have to learn the best way to stitch them all together.
Wow! Good on you! I have a knitting project on the go which I’m wondering if I will ever finish! I’ve never tackle crochet but. I admire those like you with such skill!
I adore the colours and patterns! I’m a fairly novice crocheter – granny squares and baby hats are about my limit – but unfortunately I can’t crochet at the moment as it makes the bursitis in my shoulder much more painful :-* (
Wow!
Thank you for sharing your photos at the new home for Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday) at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/p/other-wordless-wednesday.html. I hope to see you each week!
It’s beautiful! I can knit but not crochet and have always wanted to… 🙂

This is the my projects second winter. I want it to be quite big, so it could be a few more winters until it’s done.
How gorgeous!!! I wish I could crochet… or knit… or sew on a button!!!!! 🙂
Have a go! It’s not hard at all.
I love crochet blankets but I have NO IDEA how to crochet. Maybe when I slow down a bit later on in life! x
Are you calling me old Em??!!!
Love the idea of the large and the small squares. !
I got the idea from a picture I spotted in a beautiful wool shop. The large squares were randomly placed in the rug and looked amazing.
Oh, I LOVE those colours!
It started with the idea of colours of the sea but it’s morphed into something even more colourful.
Lovely ….I need to teach myself how to crochet.
It’s so easy. Just google ‘crocheting granny squares’ and there are loads of you tube videos. Easy!

That’s no good. It is such a relaxing pastime. Hope your shoulder sorts itself out soon!
That looks amazing . My Mum loves to crochet blankets – I made one- two , once in Blue & yellow for Parramatta Eels lol.
That would make choosing colours really easy!
Love your blanket. I a,m 11 granny squares into my first one. Such fun now that I am in a groove. Deb xx
It is, it’s a slow process but I reckon I should be finished sometime next winter. I want it to be about twice the size it is now I think.
I love those colours – the yellow really draws me in!
