Hi! I’m Michelle and this is my debut into the big wide world of the interweb! I live in Perth, Western Australia (one of the most beautiful cities in the world). I am a Mama in training (do you ever get fully qualified?) with 2 beautiful and challenging boys aged 5 and 6. I am a brand new  homesteader, the home fire burner of a FIFO family and a very occasional Intensive Care Nurse. I am also a writer. Up until I started writing my blog earlier this year I would have said I was a dormant writer, but now, I am writer.

The slow living concept has evolved for me over the last 2 years. I was relatively healthy and quite fit too, but something was not quite right with how I was feeling and with how I was managing my kids. The seed of change was planted. It began with how I ate, and has grown to encompass almost every aspect of my life. We now grow a lot of our own food, we are REAL clean food junkies, we make everything from scratch and we avoid all chemicals in and around our home. I have also established a range of new life habits to calm my mind and nourish my soul, and I pour a whole lot of positive energy into living a simple and memorable life with my kids.

  2. Hi Michelle,
I have enjoyed reading your thoughts and ideas on this lovely blog – look forward to more. It was nice meeting you at Amanda’s course a few Saturdays ago…best of luck with this new endeavour.

  3. Hi Krystel,
Thanks so much for stopping by. Joining the blogging world has been a whole journey in itself, hasn’t it? I will stop by yours soon too!

  4. Why thank you Laura! I just had to Google what it all meant because Natalie from The Pure Voyage nominated me a little while ago but I got the impression it was just a lovely virtual hug of sorts, and didn’t realise I had to do anything!! Am not sure if Natalie realised either but it was lovely all the same!! I will definitely have a crack at it and keep the hug chain alive…Mx

  5. Hi Michelle, I love your combination of what you are and what you are working towards. All the best in your endeavours. FIFO man and growing your own is a huge task.
Your blog excludes calm. Thanks for visiting
